Reduce the stress of wedding planning with simple wedding planning checklists!

"Become your own professional wedding planner"

Dear bride (or groom) to be,

So you are getting married sometime in the near future - congratulations, I hope that your wedding will be as memorable as mine was and that your marriage will last until you are both old and grey.

A great wedding is always something that both the couple getting married, as well as those attending the event will have fond memories of for the rest of their lives. This is no doubt the reason that we go to such great lengths when it comes to planning our wedding day.

But planning the perfect wedding can also be a lot of work! Especially if you aren't used to organizing big events like this, you may well have bitten off more than you can chew.

I know this from when I helped organize my first wedding for a good friend of mine - I honestly thought I was going to go crazy before we managed to put it all together.

So when it came to my own wedding I knew much better, and started to organize things into neat little checklists from the very beginning. And as a result...

"The whole thing went of without a hitch and was

no doubt one of the best days of my life!"

Since then I have had numerous opportunities to perfect my system, and can thus proudly present you with an alternative to a professional wedding planner.

The essential wedding planning checklists!

What I have really done, is to break down the most important parts of wedding planning into five mini systems:

Component #1 "A Year long wedding plan"

Your wedding should be coming up within the next 6 to 12 months. Do you know what to do and when exactly you need to do them?

Here is a guided timeline that specifically gives you the approximate time tasks that should be completed within that time frame. Use the following list as a guide to help you get the right things done, in the appropriate order.

Print this guide out and "check off" all the items that you have completed to make things less stressful and more fun for you. Naturally these are all important things even if you're not planning a whole year into the future.

Component #2 "Who pays for what?"

While there are no absolute or "official" rules on who pays for what, I hope to shed some light on the most commonly used guidelines.

Traditionally, the majority of the wedding is paid for by the brides’ family. But because of today’s society with increasing costs of weddings, these obligations will usually depend on the circumstance and/or situation.

This may perhaps be a less glamorous part of the wedding planning, but a most important aspect nonetheless.

Component #3 The registry checklist

Here I have presented everything you will usually need at your wedding. This covers the basic setup needed for most weddings and can be used as a simple checklist system where you simply tick off one item at a time.

Although I am sure you won't forget the teaspoons without having a checklist for them, you should trust me when I say it is better to be safe than sorry. Coupled with the next component this check list may prove way more valuable to you than it first appears.

Take a short video break!

If you're more of a visual person, the above presentation will tell you all you need to know about this product.

Component #4 Planning the reception

What exactly should you look for in your reception location, aside from that sense of rightness you know you’ll have the moment you find the most perfect spot?

Shopping for a site is like finding a mate, a test you’ve obviously mastered. You should be looking for the same sorts of things like: charm, personality, depth, more than just a pretty face or perfect body (although looks do count!).

Here you will be given important pointers on what to look out for, as well as a step-by-step formula for comparing all the alternatives available to you. In short, you will be sure that you are going to pick the perfect spot for your reception.

Component #5 The honeymoon adventure

The wedding is just the beginning. There’s plenty of excitement planning the honeymoon as well, from choosing a travel adventure to deciding on what to bring along on the journey.

And for many, planning this great "escape" is just as important as planning the actual wedding. Regardless of where you decide to go, there are some things you should know to make it the kind of experience you want it to be.

This component comes with worksheets both for selecting your honeymoon location as well as for planning the budget. It concludes with some important tips on what finishing touches needs to be tended to when you return from your wedding.

Well, there you have it - my complete worksheet system for planning a perfect wedding every time. Just about the only thing I don't touch upon in the above components is to plan your marriage. That I leave up to you, hopefully without any intervention from Dr. Phil ;-) (Although I actually stole that line about "Don't forget to plan you marriage as well" from him).

A lot of time and effort have been put into coming up with and perfecting these wedding planning checklists.

But since I really want to give every bride and groom the best possible tools to plan a really memorable wedding, I am going to let you have the above plans for the ridiculously low price of:

$7

I guess you are wondering one of two things about the above price point:

Why don't I simply give it to you for free? OR Why don't I ask for more?

Interestingly enough the first question is easier to answer:

This isn't just about the checklists!

Because let's face it, the actual checklists are just simple points and forms on a piece of paper - you could easily type that up yourself!

No, what's really important is learning how to think like a real wedding planner. Yes, these five components can be used exactly as they are but what I'd really like you to do is learn how things are setup, add your own plans to them and learn to notice the finer points of the planning process, like:

  • How light can make or break the mood at your reception, and how to take this into consideration when picking you reception location.
  • Where to place those people "who don't fit anywhere" in your seating plan, so everyone can enjoy themselves to the full
  • What sets a great caterer apart from one that's just so-so, and how you will find that out before hand
  • The classical cake mistakes you definitely want to avoid
  • Preserving your wedding dress after the wedding
  • etc. etc.

If you started asking all of these questions from a professional wedding planner I think you'll agree that she would charge you way more than seven bucks!

However, as this isn't a 300-page book but five mini-reports, I think $7 is a suitable price - wedding planning templates would perhaps have been a more adequate name.

Do not underestimate the value of the many years of distilled knowledge available in this package.

All the components are available as a one-time download immediately after purchase. All components are in PDF-format and can be read and printed on both Windows PC:s and Macintosh computers.

P.S. Although I can't say how much this system will save you in the monetary sense, I can guarantee you that it will be worth at least hundred times the price asked in saved time. Personally I always try to avoid re-inventing the wheel myself when I really don't need to.
